A qualified General Registered Nurse with a number of international publications Alison is a national expert on leg ulcer management. She set up a leg ulcer clinic and training programme in east London, and regularly speaks at national and international conferences. After undertaking a MSc in Psychology and Health, she returned to lead the East London Wound Healing Centre in 2003. Since 2011 she has been the Chief Executive of Accelerate CIC, having led the team’s Right to Request in 2011 which resulted in the set-up of Accelerate CIC as an independent organisation. Accelerate has grown from 7 to over 30 staff members and has a relatively new board; Alison believes a significant step change is required to make the organisation commercially sustainable, viable for the members and also the release of creativity across the team to develop their disruptive and leading edge.
