Jonathan Singh
Before joining On Purpose Jonathan had spent most of his career working in international affairs, first serving as a Royal Air Force officer before then working in the international development and humanitarian sectors. During his RAF career he flew Seaking and Chinook helicopters, including four combat deployments to Afghanistan. As an international development professional he worked in Central America, Myanmar, Tanzania, South Sudan and Nigeria working primarily with communities affected by poverty, conflict, or displacement.Jonathan is passionate about working for improved social, economic, and environmental justice both in the UK and globally. Since moving back to London he has become involved in a number of community volunteer activities and the On Purpose Associate programme is a great way to learn more about impact in the social enterprise space and a chance to work with some fantastic organisations and people.
Outside of work Jonathan is a culture vulture who enjoys theatre, gigs, and exhibitions as well as a keen runner, swimmer, and tennis player. When possible he loves getting out into the hills for some hiking or biking. Jonathan has a masters degree in international relations from the LSE and a politics degree from Cardiff university.
