On Purpose

Lydia Levy

Before joining On Purpose Lydia worked in international development, with a focus on improving impact and programming in fragile and conflict affected states.

Most recently she was based in Kenya working on research and Monitoring and Evaluation projects funded by the UK government in South Sudan and Somalia. Previously she was working in London, with a focus on political economy research in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and before that for the Humanitarian Department at Oxfam GB. Lydia has lived in a number of places including Senegal, Belgium and Rwanda, and her interest in social enterprise was shaped by the people and organisations she encountered during this time.

Lydia holds a degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University, and a Masters in Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS. Outside of work she enjoys climbing, camping and hiking.
