On Purpose

Shauna Jordan

Shauna has spent over 3 years working in the waste sector with a focus on business development within the construction industry. Her role involved creating and sustaining crucial professional relationships across an extensive customer base, capitalising on opportunities for waste disposal under a strict ‘Zero-to-Landfill’ policy.

During her time in the industry she also took a keen interest in CSR, campaigning for more sustainable approaches amongst her colleagues, as well as redesigning company merchandise to replace plastic items with eco-friendly alternatives such as bamboo and aluminium.

Prior to this, Shauna spent 3 years working for a legal publication within their events team, leading on the production of international conferences, charity award ceremonies and networking events. The role demanded frequent independent travel to Asia, USA, South America and Europe for meetings with senior stakeholders, partners of some of the world’s leading law firms and government officials.

Shauna holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Sussex, and is currently studying to become a counsellor in her spare time. She is passionate about mental health, having recently trained as a volunteer for Hertfordshire Mind and previously volunteered as a blogger, creating pieces on mindfulness and emotional wellbeing.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys playing netball and has spent the past 18 months renovating a derelict cottage in Hertfordshire.
