Prior to joining On Purpose, Nicola spent nine years in insurance consulting working for Willis Towers Watson and EMB, specialising in personal lines general insurance. Nicola is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, having qualified in 2012. As a senior consultant, Nicola worked across a range of technical and more strategic consulting projects, leading projects to implement new and innovative motor and home pricing techniques, and completing reviews of pricing capability and developing pricing roadmaps for Motor and Home insurers. Her clients include a range of smaller insurers and large multinationals, both intermediaries and insurers in the UK and Europe, and she has completed secondments in Germany and Northern Ireland in pricing and project manager roles. Nicola has a first class degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick. Nicola is interested in the social enterprise model as a sustainable and scalable means to grow the resources tackling social issues. She is concerned about income inequality and financial inclusion, and is a strong supporter of charities tackling global poverty. Nicola has volunteered with grass roots charities supporting refugees.
